This is a total redesign of one of my client's home. It is currently very chopped up and the bedrooms and bathroom are very small. They want an open floor plan in the main living/kitchen area, large master bedroom with bathroom and walk in closet. I also relocated the stairs to the basement, they are currently very narrow and not very practical. I also changed the 1/2 bath to a full bath. They also want a deck off the dining room which I added. The bedroom they lost upstairs in order to enlarge the master suite and bathroom will be added in the basement. Below are several pictures of the current floor plan and also the proposed floor plan I came up with for them.
If you need help with the layout of your house give me a call! I'll be adding more floor plans that I redesigned soon.
I put a different twist on my tree this year. I wanted garland that looks like snow but couldn't find what I was looking for so.....I made my own. I bought a sherpa throw and cut it into 5" strips and used that as my garland. I love it, it is exactly the look I was after. I used woodland animal ornaments as well as gold and white ornaments. I used a white fluffy throw that I already had as my tree skirt and put a few animals, battery powered candles, and white wrapped gifts under my tree. I love the natural look.
Do you have a window that needs a little something extra? Well I have the perfect solution...gallery glass. I specialize in this unique glass treatment that will take a plain boring window and turn it into something special for a fraction of the cost of leaded glass.
Real leaded glass treatments require the window to be removed and taken to a shop and depending on the design, the average cost is somewhere around $150-$300 per square foot and can take up to 10 weeks to complete. So you can see my prices are at least half the cost or better and takes much less time. Below are some examples of my actual work and the approximate cost of my services.
Glass size: 10" x 12".
My fee: $75 and it took 1 day.
Half Bath Window
Glass size is 18" x 14"
My fee: $90 and it took 1 day
Double Hung Window
Glass size: 36" x 33"
My fee: $180 and it took 1 day.
My Fee: $640 and it took 3 days. (A real leaded glass window this size would have been in the neighborhood of $3,000 plus and removed from the home).
Even though this is not true leaded glass, it is very classy and beautiful. Most people will not even know it is not lead. Give me a call or send a message today if you want to add this unique feature in your home!

Why buy napkin rings when you can make prettier ones yourself? For this example I wrapped a small flower vine around 2 fingers and added a few extra flowers on top. I also left a little "tail" for added interest. Such an easy way to create a simple yet elegant place setting.
For an additional change, use new slipcovers on some or all of your chairs. Also throw a few flower stems in a tall vase or jar to use as a centerpiece.
If you don't want to use slipcovers or have captain's chairs, just re-cover the seat cushions with a durable and fun fabric.

When putting your house on the market it is essential to declutter and simplify the entire house. Even though it is functional and "home" to you, you want potential buyers to see it as though it could be their home. You need to pack up as much as you can of everything that makes it "yours" such as family photos, collections, jackets, mail and office items. Below is a good example of decluttering to draw in potential buyers.

Welcome to my new website and business! I love interior design and am really excited to get this business up and running. I have been dabbling in decorating and design for years but have now decided to really pursue my passion for it. The two fields I'm specializing in are home staging and interior design. Believe it or not, these are two completely different things!
Staging is depersonalizing your home while interior design is personalizing it. I always get to know my clients and their needs, their likes and dislikes, personalities, and most important.....budget.
I'm still working on this website but take a quick look around at what I've done so far and let me know what you think!
